Just like people, or along with them, archival material often crosses borders. Not only geographical borders, but also cultural, ethnic and linguistic boundaries. As a result, professionals working with archival materials face certain research challenges, which the international conference and workshop Ethnological Heritage in the Archives: Diverse Contexts in Central and Southeastern Europe aims to address. The event is co-organised by the Institute of German Culture and History of Southeastern Europe (IKGS), the Institute of Ethnomusicology at the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (ZRC SAZU)and the Slovenian Ethnological Society.
